Manichaeism is a religion of syncretism founded by the prophet Mani. Mani taught that he was the last in a series of prophets to deliever Gods message. He claimed Zoroaster, Buddha, Plato, Hermes, and Jesus as his predecessors. He claimed that the teachings of Buddha, Zoroaster, and Jesus, where not complete, and that his teachings completed them. He also made sure to write down his teachings, as he believed that it was a mistake that none of his predecessors made a copy of their teachings in writting.
