Cityside aims to be a community that will sustain people in their following of Jesus Christ in the world. A community of practicing faithful doubters.

Cityside is a part of the international "alt.worship" movement and has become known for its annual Easter art installation "Stations of the Cross: Contemporary Icons to Meditate On at Easter", which has been widely imitated in New Zealand and internationally. It's currently looking like there won't be a Stations in 2006 but a poetry festival and possibly a film festival are planned instead.
